good afternoon everypony!
so nice to sleep in a real bed. I did not want to get up. on the other hand, I did not want to go to bed. Felt like a glowy thing relapse. kitty escaped last night so that contributed. got caught up in online shopping again this morning, but deleted everything in my cart except DVD's belated bday gift. I need to get out of the house. tonight we will go make dinner for DVD's mom, so that will help.
I could not find the files I need yesterday, which has been quite upsetting. So today I will process papers. There are not that many places for them to hide anymore!
DONE: breakfast in bed thanks to DVD made bed
updated log
checked balance checked email checked calendar checked notifications updated challenges took meds made dinner plans
NEXT UP: boot laundry boot crafting take shower get dressed do face
ON DECK: paper processing schedule pick up at DB's make packing lists decide what to wear to maker fair pack load car work on taxes

danny15---I love the idea of the little halfway house for your mice. That was a sweet thing to do. I bet your DD1 loved doing it with you too. I did the daily things and just folded and hung the 2 day old dryer load. Put another load of clothes into the dryer. Snaked around in the packed away clothes and brought out my good grey pants and a pair of turquoise sweat pants. Of course, it is much warmer today, but it HAS been chilly lately and I need to be thinking about some heavier clothes. They are just in the next room and some things summered over in my BR so it will be easy enough. The news is still depressing and upsetting, but I need to know the latest, so I watch it anyway. Took a shower and washed my hair. Talked with my BFF in CT. Texted with my DD2. I MAY do my checkbook recon later. It just came today. Oh, and I washed and packed away my 2 hummer feeders, as those wee birds have abandoned me for more summery temps down south, way down. I also need to water my indoor plants. Good wishes for everyone. catcats

Good afternoon catcats, I too, keep tuning in to the news but I only watch a short time and then turn it off--it's so depressing.
I also got a depressing call from my shopping friend--after a meeting about her future care, she has decided to give up her room in the independent living area because her Medicare coverage for the skilled nursing area will be over at the end of this month and then she will have to start paying for it herself, so she can't afford to keep the other apartment waiting for her. She says she's having more back pain again, but then, she's doing more, and the nurses tell her she has to re-strengthen the muscles that have been wasting while she was in bed so much of the time.
I'm going to get dinner together, I don't think I can concentrate on doing anything else tonight.

yeah it was hard to sleep last night, given the news
I didn't have the document in my drop box, but I did find it in my mail. Then I realized I needed another document in storage. then I realized I could look up the info online.
so I got some work on my taxes done.
I also found a file I missed with some of what I need, plus another document that will make getting my vaccination updates easier.
next I need to make a decision about reporting, that will cost more to file. I used AI chat for the first time to do research. I'm realizing its like a very smart search engine. Or a very smart Jeeves, if you ever used that.
pretty soon will be time to make dinner at DVD's mom's. But first, more card making!

Diane, I'm so sorry to hear that your friend is having more troubles.
I found a big stash of vacuum cleaners bags for the little cleaner, yay! They are all in the lower hall closet now, which is well-organized so I don't need to order more because I can't find any.
I went out to change the light bulb on the deck and there were 5 deer so close to the deck (which is elevated) that I could have jumped on their backs! They were so startled, so was I, and I quickly rushed back in to grab my phone for a pic. Of course, by the time I got back out they were further down the back yard.
Have a good night everyone.
pc ~ mylittlescholar I remember Ask Jeeves when we first got a computer. It was the coolest thing!

Scholar, I'm glad you found some of the information that you were looking for, I hope the rest of your taxes go smoothly!
Danny, I'm so envious of you folks who have deer in your yard.
The dog wanted to go out at 7 so we went out early, she did everything, so I'll be going to bed and I'm sure I'll be up at midnight. I realized that now that she never wants to go out early in the morning, I'm going to have to make her go tomorrow because she'll be riding in someone's car--when she goes at midnight she doesn't want to go again until late morning at the earliest and she'll be at the hospital then. I'll have to let them know she might have to go while there, even if I make her go out to the yard it doesn't mean she'll do anything.
Good night everyone, I'll see you tomorrow!

thanks!
I did not go to dinner; DVD made it here and then went up to visit as his brother was already over. I worked on cards!!!
then I realized it was almost 9:00 and I still have to pack.
managed to clean up some the papercrafting (as I share this space with DVD), and then I made a list and started packing. have packed all the clothing; still need to do toiletries, gifts, and work supplies.
but I am done for now; see y'all in the morning.

Diane, I used to set out timothy hay for our bunnies in the winter but I haven't seen any for awhile. I hope everything goes very well for your dog's vet visit today.
I need to get some paperwork done today. This may be our last day in the 70's so it would be good to work in the garage too. The owner of the company that does some work for me is coming by today to pick up some stuff he would like.

Good morning--the dog just went off to the vet and I'm a nervous wreck. The night and morning actually went well, she went out at 8:00 and then came in and panted for an hour--I asked her if she had to go out again and she stood up, which means yes, so we went out and she had another small BM. Then she slept all night long, which means I slept better. And when I got out of bed at 6 this morning and asked if she wanted to go out again she actually went. So that was a relief.
It's so much more nerve-wracking that I can't be there for the exam, but I'm so grateful that they're willing to transport her.
I already put her LR bed linens in the washer and I'm going to eat breakfast now. I have no idea how long she'll be there--if she pants and cries in her cage like she has in the past, I'm pretty sure they won't keep her for the whole day.
Now I have to calm myself down.

Diane, we just cross-posted. Since your dear girl was so cooperative with going potty last night and this morning you can take that as a good sign that all will go well with her vet visit.

Best Wishes Diane for your little doggie to enjoy her outing today (Is it a her? ) I see a need for owner and pet to attend Vet exams together. Maybe through Zoom Telehealth? Just brainstorming here...At any rate, I hope the Vet is optimistic concerning care and I hope everything goes very well.

Thank you danny and def!
Def, first of all, if you think I'm nervous now you would not want to see me if I had to figure out some kind of telehealth technology! I don't use any kind of video anything. Plus, the doctor does call me to discuss everything, it's not being able to be there in person that's hard.
TO DO:
Move laundry to dryer, start second load Call decluttering client Delete 50 emails

I was thinking since my last post, now I know what pet owners went through during the worst of Covid, when they couldn't be in the exam rooms. My 2 cats died at the end of 2019 so I missed that period of having to wait outside while your pet was being treated inside the hospital.
Next I'm going to move the microwave cart to look inside the storage area--over a week ago I heard dripping from there again after not having any problems for over a year, and I have been pretending it never happened. I will try to figure out if it's the same issue as before, as well as move a box in there that has been sitting in the hallway waiting to go in.
